Bike & Baskets Hints Using Tropical Set:
Use Pataya for the the body of the bike.
Mix Ocean+Hibiscus for grey/black of Tires & bike parts.
Mix coconut+tiki for Baskets.
Use small fine tip waterbrush (available in the Supply Shop). Dip brush directly into Pataya to get a very concentrated pigment. apply paint along the edge carefully and as you work from the fork toward the body keep painting so that the paint does not dry as to move along the frame. Use the same technique for the tires and if you stop and start, the pigment will begin to pool, to make it smoother, keep the paint moving in as few strokes as possible. For the baskets, paint the vertical lines and horizontal lines while they are wet. After they dry, you can take a clear brush lightly over the basket to blend a light layer of the basket color into the white squares.
Use a micron pen or pencil to draw leaves and flowers in the basket. If you get creative you can draw a simple line drawing of your pet or loaves of French baguettes. Micron pens are waterproof and you can paint over your lines without causing the lines to blur. Pencil cannot be erased if the paint is over the lines. you can lightly erase the lines to just use as a guide prior to applying paint.
